Assistant Professor in International, European Union and Comparative Law

CALL FOR A POSITION OF ASSISTANT PROFESSOR DEPARTMENT OF INTERNATIONAL, EUROPEAN UNION AND COMPARATIVE LAW.

ESADE Law School is looking for a 40-hour lecturer with the category of Assistant Professor in Public International Law and European Union Law. The selected candidate must join the faculty before September 2024.
The candidate must have a PHD in the field of Public International Law or European Union Law and have a track record in teaching and research that demonstrates her or his potential in accordance with the strategic focus of the faculty. A consolidated track record at both national and international level, capable of transmitting a solid theoretical and practical understanding of the law to the students, will be particularly valued.
The candidate must demonstrate excellent teaching skills, as she/he will have an active teaching role in both undergraduate and graduate programs in public international law and European Union law.
During the selection process special weight will be given to:
1st) Proved experience in the areas of International Economic Law (with special emphasis on European law).
2nd) Proved experience in the area of European Procedural Law.
3rd) Access to an international network of scholars and practitioners that can support the development of ESADE Law School on the international stage in the coming years. Capacity to integrate with the teaching model of ESADE Law School. Capacity to work efficiently and constructively in a team within the department as well as in an interdisciplinary context.
The candidate must be proficient in English (and being able to teach in this language). Full command of Spanish and additional languages will be considered an advantage.
