The Department of Society, Politics and Sustainability at Esade Business School is seeking to hire an Assistant Professor in Business and Society to start in September 2025. Expertise in sociological topics and analysis will be particularly valued. Candidates should have a PhD at the time of joining the school, demonstrate a clear trajectory in the area of expertise and excellent teaching abilities. Candidates should be aligned with Esade’s mission and the Department’s goal to promote social justice and sustainability through holistic education and impactful research. The Department is open to considering both research-oriented and professional profiles.

The research-oriented (tenure track) profiles should demonstrate the potential and motivation to publish in high quality academic journals. The professional profiles should bring relevant experience in their field of practice. Candidates should indicate in their cover letter for which profile they would like to be considered.

The compensation and teaching requirements that accompany this position are competitive. The position is tenure-track. Decisions about contract renewal and promotion are based on individual performance. Speaking Spanish or Catalan is not a requirement, though support in learning languages can be provided if desired.
