ESADE Business School is seeking to appoint a faculty member at the rank of Assistant Professor (tenure track) in the field of Human Resource Management or Leadership. We particularly welcome applications with a special focus on the impact of AI and other smart technologies, data analytics, and/or digital transformation on HR or Leadership practices. The successful candidate will join the School at its Sant Cugat (Barcelona) campus in September 2027.
Candidates must have completed a Ph.D. in a field relevant to the position (e.g., Management or Organizational Behavior). They should demonstrate either a record of, or strong potential and motivation for publishing high-quality, impactful research in top tier management journals, as well as the ability and motivation to secure national and international research funding. Candidates should also demonstrate a strong foundation for developing a successful teaching career across the School's diverse portfolio of undergraduate, postgraduate, and executive education programs. Successful candidates are expected to contribute actively to departmental life and engage fully with the wider School community.

The compensation and teaching requirements that accompany this position are competitive. New faculty benefit from a comprehensive onboarding program, a reduced teaching load during their initial years, dedicated research funding, and faculty mentoring. The position is tenure-track. Decisions about contract renewal and promotion are based on individual performance. Speaking Spanish or Catalan is not a requirement, though support in learning languages can be provided if desired.

Candidates who will be attending AOM and would like to learn more about ESADE and the position are invited to email the Department Chair (daniela.noethen@esade.edu) to express their interest in meeting with faculty members. Submission of a complete application is not required in order to be considered for an AOM meeting.
